Mr. Yu passed judicial examination and got lawyer'slicense in 1992. He once worked in the industry of industrial engineering,agriculture, commerce, school, soldier and newspaper office. He once served asdisciplinary inspection cadre, failed to enter the institution of highereducation from working post, insisted on self-study for decades of years,obtained graduate degree by self-study and being praised as 'one personbecoming talented through self-study'. He once served as proprieter of Lawyerand Legal System Periodical Office, worked in the system of politics and lawfor nearly 20 years and had rich interpersonal networks.

He left Lawyer and Legal System Periodical Office in2005 and handled hundreds of cases with a rate of receiving reaching 100% afterengaging in the work of full-time lawyer. Now he still serves as perenniallegal consultant of Zhejiang Provincial Government Office of Civil Defense,Zhejiang Province Public Information Industry Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Associationfor Leisure and Life Cultivation, Hangzhou Association of Tea House Industry,Hangzhou Hupanju Tea House and West Lake Literary Magazine.

At the time of30th anniversary of lawyer system recovery in 2009, he edited and published thebook-Eye on Lawyers containing more than 400 thousand characters whichcomprehensively introduced the current situation of Chinese lawyers, hardshipand greatness of Chinese lawyers and was highly commended by former Director ofZhejiang Provincial Department of Justice-HU Hulin and deemed as 'the best bookfor lawyer propaganda'; Freely gifted hundreds of books to the public via mediafor the purpose of coordinating the commemorative activity of the 30th anniversaryof lawyer system recovery. He published the book- Selected Zhejiang LawyerCases published by Law Press China whose prologue was written by Director-HUHulin and which showed elegant demeanour of Zhejiang lawyers to all sectors ofsociety.
